If Mother's Day has snuck up on you this year (yes, it is this Sunday!), never fear. There is still time to get your Mum a beautiful, thoughtful gift from your heart. Here are our top picks for last minute gift ideas!
Make her brunch
There's a reason why Mother's Day breakfasts in bed are so popular - because they're often just what mum wants. Make sure she is left alone in bed for as long as possible (no earlier than 8am, please!), and then indulge her in one of her favourite, indulgent breakfasts. Whether it's juice and a croissant from the local patisserie, or an incredible Goop-inspired spread (hello, bellinis), she will appreciate it.
Get her a book voucher
Set mum up with a voucher from Kindle or iTunes, to download a new book. Then, leave her in peace in bed for a few hours to dive into her new read. We can highly recommend The Woman I Wanted To Be by Diane Von Furstenburg, All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and Fates & Furies by Lauren Groff/
Book her a massage
Is there any mum who is not deserving of a massage? A digital voucher is the way to go here (she'll never know you booked at the last minute), and she can book in her pampering whenever suits her schedule. We love Endota Spa (which is all over Australia), Savka Beauty (in Sydney's inner west) and Still Beauty (who come to your home!).
Send hope, not flowers
With this gift, your mum will be giving herself little high-fives for raising such a thoughtful, wonderful child. By donating to Send Hope, Not Flowers on behalf of your mum for Mother's Day, you'll be helping to raise funds and awareness around the terrible toll of maternal mortality across the developing world. Could there be a better cause?
Take her out
More than anything, your mum will want to spend time with you. Show her how special she is by spending some time together. Perhaps it's time for a mother-daughter pedicure? Or a stop at a fancy wine bar? Or even just a chat on the balcony. Spending time together will be the best gift you can give your mum.
What are you giving your mum this Mother's Day? Or, what are you hinting for!?
